Sara Means

Sara Means obtained her B.S. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego in 2003 and 2004 respectively. She started working at Structural Focus in 2005 and is a licensed Structural Engineer in California. Sara has extensive experience working on evaluations and retrofits of existing buildings, historic preservation, structural analysis, construction administration, and new building design. She has worked on significant projects at Structural Focus including the historic Wilshire Boulevard Temple, Dreamworks Lakeside Annex, Agensys Laboratories, 3 Labs Event Space, and multiple adaptive reuse projects. Sara is passionate about sustainability and is active in the SE 2050 efforts to understand, reduce, and ultimately eliminate embodied carbon in our projects by 2050.
