Sony Pictures Stage 6

Culver City, CA

The historic Stage 6 building is 80 feet by 80 feet in plan with a ceiling 80 feet above the stage floor. After numerous attempts to identify a new use for the building, Structural Focus’ design included the construction of eight new concrete-framed floors and a full basement within the building, providing space for two new screening theaters, two stories of production and editing offices, as well as other administrative offices. The two bottom floors of the building occupied by Technicolor include three new screening rooms constructed to THX standards.
