Caltech Bungalows

The CalTech Bungalow Relocation project involved the relocation of five historic bungalow residences several blocks to a new site just off the CalTech campus. Following relocation, Structural Focus collaborated with Kelly Sutherlin McLeod Architecture to restore the historic structures. This work included new foundations, plywood shear walls, accessibility upgrades, and updated entrances and porticos, all while preserving the buildings' historical fabric. The renovated bungalows now provide CalTech faculty with housing within walking distance of campus.
