Structural Focus provided structural engineering design services for the conversion of a former aircraft manufacturing facility historically known as the Howard Hughes Aviation Complex into new offices and studios. Several areas were acoustically separated from the structure so as not to interfere with operations and to provide a “pure” recording experience. This 41,000 SF space includes eight state-of-the-art studios, post-production facilities, performance spaces, offices, and a food facility. This creative office/studio facility helps filmmakers produce video content, refine their filming skills, and collaborate with the creative community of Los Angeles.
