Spanning approximately 2,100 acres, Great Park Neighborhoods in Irvine provides a mix of residential, commercial, educational, and recreational facilities. Structural Focus provided structural engineering services for multiple facilities, including: Majestic Garden: New main community building, a pool equipment/restroom building, two shade structures, five pool shade structures, two Profound Garden shade structures, and a park restroom building. Art Village: Four new, single-story structures, totaling 6,200 sq ft. The buildings house restrooms, visual/tech services, a digital art center, and a performing arts center. It also includes installation of a trellis/shade structure, bike parking structure/light poles, and site walls. The Overlook at Rise Park: A large, elevated terrace located in Rise Park, a green space designed to connect the community, while celebrating the natural landscape. Inspired by nature, the terrace was designed to rise from clusters of splayed columns resting in large planters. The triangular deck faces the sunset in one direction and Santiago Peak in the opposite. Community Warehouse 415: Renovation, adaptive reuse, and seismic strengthening of 1950s concrete structure to include a bicycle hut, coffee kiosk, brewery and tasting rooms, office spaces, conferences rooms, atrium, and outdoor deck spaces.
