Century City, CA
The 20th Century Fox – Building 105 project involved the design of a new four-story building on an extremely tight site in the middle of the Fox Studios lot. The ground floor consists mainly of a 99-seat Executive Screening Room. The top three floors were used for production office space. The building total footage is approximately 14,000 SF, each floor is around 3,500. Structural Focus worked with the team to design a highly technical facility that could be constructed at a reasonable price. The team selected reinforced concrete for its acoustical performance as well as for its construction logistics which required far less laydown space than would have been required for steel framed building. The building contains an acoustically sensitive screening room and other technical spaces as well as offices. LEED Certified project.
